Terms of use

PHB Health Systems Ltd · RC 8663073 · Lagos, Nigeria

Effective: June 2026 · Governing law: Federal Republic of Nigeria

Plain-language summary

By creating an account and using PHB, you agree to these terms. Key points: your HPN and health data belong to you; PHB is the platform, not your healthcare provider; the wallet holds money on your behalf and uses an authorize-then-capture model; you must not use PHB to harm others or game the system; disputes are governed by Nigerian law. The full terms follow below.

1. Acceptance

By creating a PHB account or using any PHB service (app, web, USSD, IVR), you accept these terms in full. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use PHB services.

These terms form the entire agreement between you and PHB Health Systems Ltd (RC 8663073) regarding your use of PHB. They supersede any prior agreements.

2. Your account and HPN

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Your Health Point Number (HPN) is a permanent identifier issued to you alone — do not share your login credentials with anyone.

You may not create more than one HPN. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact support immediately at support@phbhealth.com.

3. Acceptable use

You agree to use PHB only for its intended purpose — managing your own health record, booking care, making payments and accessing PHB services for yourself or for a person you have legal authority to act for.

You must not: attempt to access another person's record without their consent; submit false identity or clinical information; use PHB to harass or harm any person; attempt to circumvent PHB's security or consent controls; use automated tools to bulk-query the platform without authorisation.

4. Wallet and payments

PHB holds wallet funds on your behalf. Funds in your wallet are yours — PHB does not earn interest on them or use them for any purpose other than processing your authorised payments.

PHB uses an authorize-then-capture model. A booking authorises a hold; funds are captured only when care is confirmed. Cancellations and no-shows result in the hold being released, not charged.

Top-ups are processed via Paystack or Monnify. PHB does not store raw card numbers. Payment disputes should be raised within 30 days of the transaction.

5. PHB is a platform, not a healthcare provider

PHB connects you with healthcare providers and manages your record. PHB is not itself a healthcare provider, does not provide medical advice, and is not responsible for the clinical decisions of providers on the PHB network.

Elara, PHB's AI triage assistant, assists licensed nurses and clinicians — it does not make clinical decisions. A licensed professional always confirms before any clinical action is taken.

6. Liability

PHB's liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid PHB in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. PHB is not liable for indirect, consequential or punitive damages.

PHB is not liable for the acts or omissions of healthcare providers on the PHB Connect network. Your relationship with a provider is governed by the provider's own terms.

7. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute arising from these terms shall first be submitted to mediation. If mediation fails, disputes shall be resolved by the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria.

8. Changes to these terms

PHB may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via in-app notification and email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of PHB after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
